The Airborne Skyhawk DJ 26 draws heavily from our BMX heritage, and was designed from the ground up as the signature model for new Airborne Team Pro Drew Bezanson. Drew’s crossover abilities from his life as a groundbreaking BMX star translate right into his role in the big wheel world of MTBs. Drew’s riding is next level on any size wheels, and he’s taking on the MTB world with his creative, fearless approach to all terrains. The Skyhawk is Drew’s new weapon of choice. The Skyhawk features a hydroformed 6061 aluminum frame, creating the perfect combination of lightweight and durability, with internal cable routing for a clean look and no hang-ups. Other standouts include a tapered head tube for max durability and smooth function, and a tubing configuration that allows for just enough flex while being strong enough to handle anything Drew and the boys throw at it. The geometry of the Skyhawk is tuned for two things: Full speed stability and blasting ability. A slack 69º head tube angle keeps you in line, and a slightly higher standover height keeps your center of gravity in the drivers seat. For parts, you’ll find a blend of functional BMX influence and the best off the shelf from the MTB department: A Manitou Circus Expert fork, Praxis cranks, sealed cartridge hubs, Sun Ringle rims and Kenda Kranium 26 x 2.1” tires to keep you rippin’ and grippin’. Drop in on the Skyhawk DJ and hold on for the ride. This bike begs for more.
