"With the days getting shorter and the snow starting to fall here on the east coast, I made a phone call to one of my best friends in San Diego and begged him to let me come crash on his couch. With a place to stay and a plane ticket booked, I was all set! With San Diego being known for all of its amazing riding spots and great weather, I hit up my sponsors to help bring Jamie along to capture all the action. Making this video was an absolutely blast I wanna give a huge shout to all my amazing sponsors. Special thanks to Airborne Bicycles, DK Bicycles Fly Racing, SR SunTour, Onyx Racing Products, Box Components, Ride 100%, KMC, Vee Tire Co., Broski Sounds, Circle-E Clothing, and KickPower Energy for all the support, to Jamie Allander for the insane long days and crazy hikes, and all of my California friends for making me right at home." — Tommy Zula
This alley was directly behind my friends place and with it being only a few blocks from the beach we spent plenty of time cruising back and fourth.
A wet and chilly morning at the famous OB skatepark.
The morning rain made for some insane hero dirt.
The next morning that Cali sunshine was back out and the trails were dusty in no time.
Thanks to one of the local shredders for showing us this super flowy and fun jump line. I was absolutely loving this little shark fin and with a easy hike back up it made for one killer session.
We even squeezed in a BMX session at Chula Vista BMX. Thanks to Tyler Brown for making it happen and having the track running, even with all the rain!
My DK Bicycle was running top notch.
My first time on a 29er and I couldn’t get enough! Made the climbs up a breeze and the downs flowy and fast.
Rocks, jumps ,and corners for days. Ted Williams did not disappoint and all the locals were rippin'.
Little whipper snapper.
Wrapping up the video at one my favorite trail spots was icing on the cake!
