It was a great weekend for the boys in New Zealand, with Airborne’s Tommy Zula and Collin Hudson going head-to-head in the pump track finals. The racing was close — so close in fact — that they actually TIED during the first round of the finals. Tommy ended up taking the second heat and winning the overall by 0.01 seconds. For those of you keeping score at home, this is the THIRD straight pump track victory for Tommy on the global stage. Tommy has won Crankworx Whistler, the UCI Pump Track World Championship in Switzerland, and now Crankworx Rotorua. Tommy and Collin both ride/race the Skyhawk DJ.

As he’s done for the past few seasons, Tommy Zula loaded up the sprinter van and set his sights west to escape the Ohio winter in the early months of 2021. This year, TZ was joined by his Airborne teammate, Jutt Wood. The two linked up with photographer/filmer Stephen Smith once they arrived in California and got to work and this edit is the result.
